Our team of advisers has worked both as in-house and external advisers to large corporations and as external advisers to public institutions. They are experienced in the full cycle of CSR implementation from Pre-assessment, CSR SWOT Analyses, Vision Statements, Policies, Strategies, over Training to Action Plans, Project Design and Project Implementation, Evaluation, Reporting and Communication. In addition our team has vast experience in evaluating programmes and performing social impact assessments and human rights impact assessments. CEO & Senior Partner, Sune Skadegaard Thorsen

Sune Skadegaard Thorsen, Attorney at Law, pioneered in the field of CSR and human rights, when he decided to change career path in 1996 supplementing his career as corporate lawyer and director. Sune is internationally acknowledged for his contribution to CSR/Human Rights & Business because of his practical experience in working, both, as a consultant  and an in-house adviser. He advises a range of the world’s leading corporations on the application of the UN Global Compact principles. For six years he was the expert adviser to the former Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights and continues as expert adviser to the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights and as regional adviser for Europe to the Institute for Human Rights and Business. In addition he advises governments and multilateral organisations. Sune has written extensively on the subject. He also teaches and participates in numerous CSR initiatives internationally. He is currently chairing a number of organisations actively promoting social sustainability.



Senior Adviser on CSR - Discrimination & Diversity, Mira Skadegaard Thorsen

Mira Skadegaard Thorsen has specialised in Diversity Management (DM), Equal Opportunities (EO), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and discrimination, race, class and gender theory. She has theoretical and practical experience with awareness raising, diversity training, EO and DM in relation to strategic business and organisational approaches. 



Senior Adviser on CSR, Troels Boerrild

Troels Boerrild, cand.scient.soc, is a Master of Social Science in the field of International Development Studies. Troels has experience advising a wide range of corporate clients and is well versed in all phases of developing and implementing strategic CSR solutions; from intial CSR performance assessments to communicating tangible progress in internal and external communications. Troels has experience developing public sector CSR guidelines and working with industries such as foods, IT, telecom, transportation & logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, biotech, pharmaceuticals, banking & finance, extractives, energy, and chemicals.



Adviser on CSR, Signe Andreasen

Signe Andreasen is a political scientist from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Signe is specialised in Responsible Supply Chain Management and CSR in the context of economic developing countries. While Signe has a special interest in the impact side of CSR, she is also experienced in other phases of a company’s CSR engagement, from mapping exercises over policy formulation to internal and external CSR communication. Signe enjoys engaging in knowledge-sharing and partaking in the expansion of current knowledge on CSR. Consequently she has contributed to several publications and enjoys facilitating workshops on CSR.



Associate Senior Consultant, Pernille Fogh Christensen

Pernille Fogh Christensen holds a M.A. in History of Religions and is further educated in project management and communication. Pernille has several years of experience on CSR from employment in private companies. She was CSR manager at A.P.Møller – Mærsk and currently works at children’s wear company, Ticket to Heaven, as CSR adviser. Against this background she has a large knowledge on development of CSR-strategies within the framework of UN Global Compact, plans of implementation, organization anchoring and CSR-communication. In addition Pernille has comprehensive experience with project management and many aspects of communication both from her professional career and NGO-work.



Associate Senior Consultant, Marie Visti Hansen

Marie Visti Hansen is a market economist and further educated in business administration. She has 10 years of experience on CSR, specialised in company’s internationalization and establishment in developing countries and on emerging markets. She has worked on elaboration of Danida’s business tool, Danida Business Partnerships, and on integration of the CSR aspects. Between 2008-2010 she was a member of the Danida Council and the Danida Governing Board which is advisory for the Minister of Development Co-operation to examine and recommend all the large Danida contributions before final authorization. She’s been working intensively with strategy development and was among others member of Ministry of Foreign Affairs external reference group in relation to preparation of the new developmental political strategy. She is a guest lecturer on developmental strategy on Danish Institute for Study Abroad, DIS. Marie Visti Hansen has worked especially with cultural understanding relating to CSR and is a member of the Advisory Board for Cultural Courses appointed by Copenhagen University and IFU, Industrialisation Fund for Developing Countries, aimed to bring research from university to the knowledge and use of trade and industry.



Associate Senior Consultant, Björn Edlund

Björn Edlund is an experienced public affairs practitioner and former foreign correspondent, with a special focus on the societal role of business and the practical implementation of CSR policies. Over the past 20 years, he has provided guidance, support and challenge to 11 CEOs in the three corporations where he has served as head of corporate communications, as well as to dozens of other executives and project leaders in his years as a consultant. Edlund teaches as a senior visiting fellow at the MBA and advanced management programmes at Henley Business School in the UK, and is a senior adviser to Burson Marsteller, a leading public relations firm, in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is a member of the board of the Institute for Human Rights and Business and serves on the advisory board of the Asia Society’s council on US-China relations.



Associate Senior Consultant, David Kinley

Professor David Kinley holds the Chair in Human Rights Law at The University of Sydney. He has previously held positions at, i.a., Cambridge University and The Australian National University, and most recently was the founding Director of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law at Monash University (2000-2005). He is author and editor of eight books and more than 60 articles, book chapters, reports and papers on, i.a., human rights and business. He has also worked for 15 years as a consultant and adviser on international and domestic human rights law in Vietnam, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, Iraq, Nepal, Laos, China, and Myanmar/Burma, and for a number of organisations including the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the World Bank, the Ford Foundation, AusAID, and the Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions, and a number of transnational corporations, and NGOs. He has also previously worked for three years with the Australian Law Reform Commission and two years with the Australian Human Rights Commission.



Associate Senior Consultant, Errol Mendes

Professor Errol P. Mendes is currently a Professor of Law at the University of Ottawa. He was Director of the Human Rights Research and Education Centre at the University of Ottawa from 1993-2001. As Director of the Centre, he was the Project leader for human rights, conflict resolution, governance and justice projects in China, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, El Salvador, Sri Lanka and India. He is a frequent speaker and media commentator on international business ethics, constitutional and human rights topics across the world and has lectured on these topics in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has been invited to present numerous briefs to the Parliament of Canada, been Senior Adviser to the government of Canada in the areas of diversity, human rights, national security, corporate social responsibility and international policy and visiting professional in the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

 



Head of Administration, Emma Altinkaya

Emma has previously worked with i.a. the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Oticon and Orange. She has international experience from 8 years in the UK, Switzerland and Japan.



Project Assistant, Anna Gaarde

Anna Gaarde is a master degree student at the Department of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen, where she has specialized in development studies and CSR. She has got a broad interest in CSR related issues, but has mainly focused on Responsible Supply Chain Management.

Anders Dahl Krabbe is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Philosophy and Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School



Project Assistant, Natalie Pedersen

Natalie Pedersen is a graduate student at CBS, studying business communication and international marketing. She is specializing in corporate communication and corporate branding. Her main focus is on the UN Global Compact and the potential branding value adhering to the UN Global Compact has for corporations.


Project Assistant, Maya Nirula

Maya Nirula completed her Bachelors in History and English at the University of McGill, Canada. She is going on to pursue a degree in Law in England – focusing on Human Rights and Intellectual Property Law. She has gained international experience working in both India and England over the past 2 years.
